Opis
Some volunteers from the community would like to construct an outdoor skating rink on a piece of publicly owned land in the east end. Materials and labour would be donated by people living in the neighbourhood - plus some businesses have got on board - but they may need some assistance from the City of Brooks.

The information was brought forward to staff and the Recreation and Parks Board. The City was asked to assist with maintenance and flooding of the rink, which requires Parks Department manpower. At this time, the City doesn't have a large enough budget in the "Outdoor Rinks" allocation to support an additional rink.
Unfortunately, although the idea was excellent and we love getting ideas and feedback from the community, we can't move forward with the rink because of the expense.
